My takeaways from developing my website

Position and Quality of Ads

I learned how ad position and quality are determined in Google Ads, and how they affect the performance of my campaigns. I discovered that the order of ads on the search results page is decided by an auction process, which considers factors like Ad Rank and Quality Score. Ad Rank is calculated based on your bid, the quality of your ad, and other factors, and it directly impacts where your ad appears. The higher your Ad Rank, the more likely your ad will appear at the top of the page, and the lower your cost-per-click (CPC) could be.

To increase the Quality Score, I could:

  1. Improve the relevance of the ad copy to match the keyword more closely.
  2. Optimize the landing page experience by ensuring it loads quickly, has relevant content, and is mobile-friendly.
  3. Increase the expected CTR by making the ad more compelling with clearer calls to action.

These changes would likely lead to a higher Quality Score, which would help improve the position of my ads and lower my CPC.
